Posh4PenniesBAE was founded from an overwhelming desire to share all of my tips, tricks, DIYs, favorite rewards programs, and side hustles all in one place!  I am all about saving as much money as I can without appearing to be cheap or constantly reminding everyone that I am on a budget, because no one wants to hang out with someone constantly griping about the money they don’t have to spend!

My love of coupons, discounts, and everything DIY can be attributed to my mom, who got me hooked on the couponing game as a little girl, clipping paper coupons from the Sunday paper.  As an adult, I have brought my couponing game into the digital age with a few of my favorite money back apps that I cannot stop raving about because coupons are literally free money and who doesn’t like getting stuff for FREE?!?!!?!?  Especially, when it is money deposited into their PayPal or Venmo account!  You can read all about my favorite cash back couponing apps  under the Money Makin’ section of this blog!

Aside from saving money with coupons, I have found so many ways to make a passive income on the side with little to no effort that help to make life for Mr. Beaux and I a little more comfortable.  I’m sharing all of my passive income strategies with you under the Money Makin’ –> Side Hustles section of the blog.  All of the side hustles that are posted in this section are things that I actually do to make extra dollars with minimal effort.  Absolutely NO paid surveys.  My rule for side hustles is the time spent setting up the hustle has to be worth the reward, so if it takes more than a few minutes of my time, then it’s not worth the effort, because I already have a full time job and I stick to the simple rule of: side hustles should not take more effort than or interfere with the main hustle (a.k.a. your career).

My DIY game has also climbed out of the craft room in my parents basement to all aspects of my home from DIY mirror framing to DIY tufted headboard to DIY L-shaped pallet bench for the patio to re-purposing old furniture to something new to you name it!!!  I can’t wait to share my crafty side with all of you in the @Home section of this blog.

Over the past two decades, I have discovered plenty of hidden gems that have given me the most bang for my buck locally on Santa Barbara stay-cations, regionally, nationally, and abroad!  Under the Travel section, I will be breaking down, amongst other things, my favorite travel rewards programs and how I got a round trip flight for $10 from LAX to MSY (New Orleans) for a bachelorette party in April 2018 with a major domestic carrier.  I will also be sharing my favorite wineries, breweries, and eateries along the way and the instances where I truly believe that sometimes you need to spend money to save money, but we’ll go over this in more detail under the Wining and Dining section of the blog.

Under the Special Occasions section of this blog, I will be sharing my favorite strategies for attending everyone’s wedding that I get invited to, saying “YES” to every bridesmaid dress that I am asked to wear, gifting like a pro, and partying at every bachelorette party that I get an invite to,  without spending my life’s savings!

Last, but not least, Beaux will be sharing his tips for all of the K9s out there on how to live your best dog life and train your human properly!
