When I was in high school, several of my friends took their elective classes at the local beauty school and would practice on my hair, which got me hooked on supporting my local beauty school students wherever I found myself living: Aveda in Lafayette, Louisiana; Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) and Paul Mitchell the School in Santa Barbara; and so many more! Sadly, Paul Mitchell closed its doors a few years ago and SBCC’s service hours do not work with my schedule. I started my Groupon purchase from my Ibotta App and received $3.47 or 3% cashback at the end of my transaction. Once I was on the Groupon site, I was able to use my Groupon coupon code for an extra 30% off, so the price dropped from $99 to $69. Once I subtracted the $3.47 Ibotta cashback from the already discounted $69 sale price, my final total for my Groupon was $65.53 before tip! This year’s Groupon hair success story was not a one-off! My personal rule is if they don’t have an online presence with lots of photos and positive reviews, then I move on to the next Groupon offer!
